Angela Dimitrakaki

Angela Dimitrakaki works at the University of Edinburgh, with over 50 published papers and books including Gender, artWork and the global imperative: a materialist feminist critique (2013), Politics in a glass case: feminism, exhibition cultures and curatorial transgressions (2013, with L. Perry), Economy: art, production and the subject in the 21st century (2015, with K. Lloyd). She is on the editorial board of Third Text for which she edited the issue “Social Reproduction and Art” (October 2017) and on the Marxist feminist team of the interdisciplinary edited volume Historical Materialism: Research in Critical Marxist Theory. In Greece she is best known as a novelist, with works such as The Manifesto of Defeat (2006), Inside a Girl Like You (2009) and Aeroplast (2015). She has been included in seven shortlists for literary awards so far, and in 2017 she received the Best Novel Award from Anagnostis magazine.
