Navigation tools in science and life

Eleni Kiratsou

Abstract

The paper derives from a presentation at the conference “The perspective of gender at the university: A reflective approach”, organized by the Postgraduate Program on “Gender, Culture and Society” at the Department of Social Anthropology and History at the University of the Aegean in Mytilene in May 2019. It is a self-reflective description of the impact of gender studies on my academic, professional and personal life. Additionally the paper demonstrates, through a personal example, that the postgraduate program on gender at the University of the Aegean provided participants with important and extremely up-to-date navigation tools in science but also generally in life.
