Eleni Papagaroufali is Professor Emerita (Panteion University) with doctoral studies in Social Anthropology (Columbia University, USΑ, 1990). She has taught, researched and published extensively on cultural theory, theories of gender, embodiment and health, European and UN soft diplomatic practices in Greece. She is the author of: Gifts of life after death. Cultural experiences (in Greek, Patakis, 2012 [2002]); Soft diplomacy. Transnational twinnings and pacifist practices in contemporary Greece (in Greek, Alexandria, 2013).
