AMOQA is a hybrid space for the research and promotion of arts and studies on sexuality and gender. It hosts performance evenings and festivals, documentary screenings on body politics, as well as queer experimental film, technology workshops, lectures on gender issues, queer music presentations and more. At the same time, it has started building an LGBTQ+ archive, bringing together collections, artworks, zines, interviews, films, photography, etc., in an effort to map the history of the Greek LGBTQ+ movement. AMOQA would like to act as a meeting place for researchers and creatives working on body politics, with the aim of creating new projects and exchanging ideas and thoughts. AMOQA also acts as an open platform where various activist LGBTQ+ feminist collectives find a safe space for their meetings and events.
